Terms of service

Effective November 6, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and DiscoverMyApp, a sole proprietorship based in Michigan (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using DiscoverMyApp you agree to them. If you use it for a company, you confirm you may accept these terms for it, and “you” includes that company.

1. What DiscoverMyApp does

DiscoverMyApp searches public online conversations for people asking for what your product does, ranks them, explains why each was picked, and drafts a reply. You decide what to do with each one and you post replies yourself. DiscoverMyApp does not post, comment, message or contact anyone on your behalf.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.
  • Keep access to your sign-in email or Google account secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account.

3. Using DiscoverMyApp responsibly

DiscoverMyApp exists to help people who asked for help. When you use it, you agree to:

  • Answer genuinely and disclose your connection. When a reply mentions your product, say that it is yours. Do not pose as an unconnected user.
  • Follow each platform’s and community’s rules, including limits on self-promotion. You are responsible for everything you post and for your accounts on those platforms.
  • Not spam. No bulk or repetitive posting, fake engagement, purchased or multiple accounts used to evade rules, or automated posting built on DiscoverMyApp.
  • Not use DiscoverMyApp to harass, track or build profiles of individuals, to contact people who have not asked for help, or for anything unlawful, deceptive or harmful.
  • Not scrape, resell or redistribute the service, or the posts and comments it shows you, and not try to break, overload or get around its security, rate limits or usage limits.
  • Only submit websites and product information you have the right to use.

If you break these rules we may suspend or close your account (see section 10). To report misuse, see the contact page.

4. Other people’s content and third-party services

The posts and comments DiscoverMyApp shows belong to their authors and the platforms they were posted on. We show them so you can decide whether and how to reply; they are not ours to license to you, and you may not copy them out of DiscoverMyApp except as needed to reply. Links lead to third-party sites we do not control.

YouTube. DiscoverMyApp uses YouTube API Services. By using DiscoverMyApp you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s Privacy Policy applies to data YouTube processes.

5. AI-generated drafts and scores

Scores, explanations and drafts are produced with AI models and can be wrong, out of date or unsuitable for a particular community. Read and edit every draft before you post it; you are responsible for what you post. We do not promise any number of opportunities, replies, customers or sales.

6. Plans, billing and renewal

  • DiscoverMyApp is offered on paid monthly plans described on our pricing page. There is no free trial; a free preview scan shows what the service finds before you pay.
  • Plans renew automatically each month at the then-current price until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices exclude taxes where taxes apply.
  • A founding-member or other discount applies only for the period stated when you sign up, after which the regular price applies.
  • We may change prices or plan limits with at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the app; a change applies from your next renewal after the notice period. If you don’t agree, cancel before it applies.
  • Usage limits (projects, scans) are part of each plan; a plan's unused included scans do not carry over.
  • Scan packs. You can also buy scans in packs, with or without a plan. Each scan searches one of your apps once, when you start it. Pack scans never expire and are used after a plan's included scans. Without a plan, an account with pack scans left can use every feature except automatic scans, for up to three apps.

7. Cancellation, refunds and the 7-day money-back guarantee

  • Money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, use “Refund my first payment” in Settings within 7 days of your first payment, and that payment is refunded in full. Your plan ends at the same time. This applies to your first subscription, and only if you have not already had a scan pack refunded (see below); if you can't use Settings, email [email protected] within the same 7 days.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew. Outside the guarantee, payments are not refundable for partial months, except where the law requires otherwise.
  • Scan packs. You can try one scan from a pack and still change your mind: a pack with no more than one of its scans used can be refunded in full within 7 days of buying it, from Settings. Once a second scan from a pack has been used, that pack is not refundable. This is not available if you have already had a refund.
  • One refund per customer. You can have one refund in total, either the money-back guarantee or a scan pack, not both. This also applies to a new account made with the same email address.
  • Refunds go back to the original payment method. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

8. Your content and data

You own what you put into DiscoverMyApp — your product information, edits, and the replies you write. You give us permission to use it only to run and improve the service for you, as described in the privacy policy. You can export or delete your data at any time from Settings.

9. Our service

We own DiscoverMyApp, its software, design and brand. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it under these terms while your account is active. We may change, add or remove features; if we remove something central to a paid plan, we will tell you and you may cancel with a pro-rata refund of any prepaid amount.

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using DiscoverMyApp and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially break these terms, if we must by law, or if your use creates risk for others; where reasonable we will warn you first. If we end the service for reasons other than your breach, we will refund any prepaid amount for the unused period.

11. Disclaimers

DiscoverMyApp is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that sources will remain available.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, or for actions taken by platforms or communities in response to what you post. Our total liability for any claim relating to DiscoverMyApp is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

13. Indemnity

You agree to cover reasonable losses and costs we incur from claims by third parties arising from what you post or from your breach of these terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before bringing a claim, email us so we can try to resolve it informally; most problems are settled that way. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, either of us may bring the claim in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and we both consent to their jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring an eligible claim in small claims court. If you are a consumer in the EEA, UK or elsewhere with mandatory local protections, including the right to bring a claim where you live, you keep them.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For significant changes we will give account holders at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the app. Continuing to use DiscoverMyApp after changes take effect means you accept them.

16. General

These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about DiscoverMyApp. If a part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them with the business.
